Coenie is the Managing Director of Vorster & Steyn. His focus lies in personal, effective and professional management of the law firm and by accomplishing this, he ensures that the  firm has an effective, productive and compassionate relationship with its clients and among the firm’s team itself. His focus lies in property transactions, commercial agreements, the administration of estates, the drafting of last wills and testaments and the administration of trusts. 

Coenie matriculated at Pionier High School in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal. He obtained a BCom (Law) degree in 1994 at the University of the Free State and in 1997 he obtained a BProc degree whilst working at Webber Attorneys in Bloemfontein.

He joined Cloete and Nevelingh Attorneys in Harrismith and became a Director in 1998. In 1999 he moved to Hermanus where he joined Lucas Steyn as a Director, and they practised together until September 2021 when Lucas passed away. Coenie has been the only Director of the firm since.

Coenie has been actively involved in the past as a Director of Hermanus Property Protection and other charity groups, and is currently a Trustee of charity trusts. He focuses on charity and believes it is our responsibility to make the “world a better place” by how we live and breathe daily. He believes that unselfishness will change lives and people around him and that will create a “ripple” effect to others.

He is a keen adventure motorbike rider and enjoys riding his BMW GS Adventure when time allows. He is further an avid reader in phycology, battlefield tactics and archaeology.
